Friendship Camp

Dear Cadet Officers,

The Singapore 2010 Friendship Camp is a special part of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) with the goal of promoting the Olympic values among participants and providing them with a unique experience and the opportunity to form life-long friendships.

As the first Friendship Camp for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, the Camp occupies a special place in the history of the YOG. The 5-Day 4-Night camp is organised by Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) in partnership with the Singapore Sports School (SSS) and the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC). The Camp will take place from 8 to 12 December 2009 and it will be based at the Singapore Sports School.

The organising secretariats are requesting for volunteers to perform duties in some of the more critical functional areas. HQ NCC believes that our youth leaders' training and experience in leadership and management would give them an edge in performing these roles. The areas would include airport operations (ushering and receiving camp participants and officials, ambassadors), safety and security operations, and adult chaperons during pre-camp and post-camp periods, helping the working staff to manage and coordinate the ushering operations for the ceremonies.

10 Cadet Officers are needed for this event. Cadet Officers who sign up must be able to commit for at least 2 consecutive days.

Interested Cadet Officers please sign up with West Admin Mail by TONIGHT, 24th Nov.
